Governor Hogan Issues Stay at Home Order Effective Tonight / Latest Executive Orders and Legal Guidance

Governor Hogan has ordered all residents to stay at home, unless leaving the home is required to take care of family members and their needs, pursue allowable business activities, pursue necessary government work, or maintain minimum operations for closed businesses. The order reiterates the specific businesses that must close and added the closure of campgrounds (except for long-term residents). The order also clarifies that businesses that are required to close cannot engage in takeout services, though they may conduct delivery-only services. Governor Hogan has also ordered municipalities to have the flexibility to postpone local electionsremote notarizations to be allowable; and the suspension of family contributions to the Maryland Children's Health Program (MHCP).
