Proactive Measures to Prevent Spread of Viruses

In an effort to provide a safe environment for our staff and residents, the Town of North Beach strongly recommends that, when possible, our residents and customers utilize the available tools and resources on the town website or call Town Hall. Utilizing online resources will reduce the amount of foot traffic in Town Hall and will help to prevent virus transmission. It is also important that we all take precautions, including:

• Avoid handshaking.
• Use your knuckle to touch light switches, elevator buttons, etc.
• Clean common surfaces at home and work once or twice each day.
• Use disinfectant wipes at stores to clean the cart.
• Wash your hands with soap for 10-20 seconds and/or use a greater than 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer whenever you return home from any activity that involves locations where other people have been.
• Cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue and discard immediately. Sneeze into your elbow if a tissue is not available.
• Most importantly, if you feel like you’re coming down with an illness, stay home to minimize the spread of viruses.
