Assistance with Storm Damage Cleanup

crisis cleanup

Crisis Cleanup, in partnership with Maryland VOAD and MDEM, have developed a process for submitting unmet needs and other residential damages following the Chesapeake Bay Tidal Flooding event on October 28-30.

Local jurisdictions and impacted residents can call 410-449-5415 to request assistance.  This hotline will remain open through November 19, 2021.  The Crisis Cleanup team will then collect the information and work to connect those in need to the appropriate resources, such as volunteers from local relief organizations, community groups, and faith communities who may be able to assist with:

  • "Mucking and Gutting" of flooded houses
  • Limited removal of fallen trees
  • Drywall, flooring, and appliance removal
  • Tarping roofs
  • Mold remediation
  • Minor repairs

In events like this, we have found that voluntary organizations are the fastest and most efficient way to get help to residents in need.  We strongly encourage that you utilize the services of VOAD and Crisis Cleanup during this recovery.

All services are free, but services may not be guaranteed due to the level of need.  Follow Crisis Cleanup on Facebook for additional updates. and feel free to reach out to Erika Summers, at erika.summers@maryland.gov, with any questions or for additional information.
