Polar Bear Plunge

Pre-registration for the 2025 Polar Bear Plunge has now ended. You may register at the Welcome Center on Monday, January 1st starting at 11 am.
The COOLEST event of the year! Plungers take a quick dip, splash or swim in the frigid Chesapeake Bay. Some feel the plunge is a way to cleanse their body and to welcome in the new year; others may have just lost a bet! This event is free but if you choose to pay to participate, you will help to support a local charity. Participants that register and pay in advance receive a certificate and t-shirt. The net proceeds of the event go to a charity that is chosen by the Town of North Beach. This event draws hundreds of brave participants and spectators.
