THE BEACH IS CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19.
You'll find great shopping in our antique shops, fine arts gallery, novelty shops, gift shops and food market. There are numerous dining options in town, including burgers, ice cream, bakery items, sandwiches, and casual and fine dining restaurants. If you need a new 'do', there are salons that can take care of that for you! Whether it's hair or nails, we've got you covered! The Beyond the Boardwalk brochure will help you find your way around town.
All shopping, restaurants and salons are within walking distance of the pier, boardwalk and beach. Or if you'd like, rent a bicycle at the Welcome Center and bike the town. Bicycles, kayaks and paddleboards are available for hourly or daily rental between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. If you need a peaceful break, stop by Wetlands Overlook Park at the north end of Dayton Avenue or the new Sunrise Garden at the corner of 3rd Street and Bay Avenue.
Our extremely popular Friday Night Farmers' Market and Classic Car Cruise-In runs from the first Friday in May through the first Friday in October.
A must for visitors is a stop at the Bayside History Museum at 4020 4th Street. The many exhibits detail the history of the Northern Calvert/Southern Anne Arundel Counties' Chesapeake Bay communities. Call the museum to make arrangements for special events or group tours.
Don't miss our summer movies on the beach; annual wine, spririts and craft beer festival; charity functions and many more special events. Check out the events page for dates and times for all of our special events planned throughout the year.
Whether you want to shop, dine, stroll the boardwalk, relax on the beach, fish from our pier, or take in one of our special events, you will always be welcome in North Beach!
