Mark Your Calendars for a Moment of Silence

The Towns of Chesapeake Beach and North Beach ask you to mark your calendars for a moment of silence for the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on our nation. On this date 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States, killing 2,977 innocent lives.
