Maryland Day Of Remembrance In Honor Of Lives Lost To COVID-19

March 5, 2021 commemorates the one-year anniversary of the state's first confirmed cases of COVID-19. Governor Larry Hogan announced that there will be a twilight ceremony this evening at the State House, and in coordination with local leaders, buildings across the state will be lit up amber. 

In addition to lighting up the North Beach Town Hall in amber and lowering the Maryland flag to half-staff, Mayor Mike Benton issued a proclamation recognizing Friday, March 5 as COVID-19 Day of Remembrance. View the proclamation here.
