In Memory of Gerald Wesley Donovan

Mayor Benton, Town Council and Town Staff would like to offer their condolences to the family and friends of Gerald W. Donovan. As most of you know, Mr. Donovan served as Mayor of the Town of Chesapeake Beach for many years, operated the Rod N Reel resort, and lived his life by proudly giving back to the community. He was a great friend and supporter of the Town of North Beach and will be remembered as a leader, an advocate and a visionary.

If you wish to pay tribute to Gerald W. Donovan, as the procession makes its way through Chesapeake Beach on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at approximately 1:30-1:45 pm, the family invites you to stand along Rt. 261 between St. Anthony’s Church and the Rod ‘N’ Reel and wave flags.
