North Beach Nature Center to Celebrate One-Year Anniversary with an Earth Day Birthday

Please join us at Wetlands Overlook Park to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the North Beach Nature Center on April 20, 2024 from 12 to 3 pm. There will be fun for families and nature lovers alike.

We are thrilled to have Trail Life Troop 0153 dedicate the new Green Woodland Trail, and we will also be planting a tree for Arbor Day with the Tree Committee. In addition to these activities, there will be crafts and door prizes for everyone to enjoy. You can also relax and take in the live music performed by the Cypress Creek Bluegrass Band.

We're excited to announce that the Calvert County Master Gardeners have been added to the event, providing valuable insights and information. Inside the Nature Center, we'll be showing the original “The Lorax” film, adding a touch of nostalgia and environmental awareness to the celebration. And of course, no birthday celebration is complete without cake!
