Polar Bear Plunge

The COOLEST event of the year! Plungers take a quick dip, splash or swim in the frigid Chesapeake Bay. Some feel the plunge is a way to cleanse their body and to welcome in the new year; others may have just lost a bet! This event is free but if you choose to pay to participate, you will help to support a local charity. Paying participants receive a certificate and t-shirt. The net proceeds of the event go to a charity that is chosen by the Town of North Beach. This event draws hundreds of brave participants and spectators.
