The Town of North Beach has been monitoring the weather forecast and is encouraging all residents to prepare for the rain and winds that are predicted to impact our area over the next few days. According to the National Weather Service at this time, the Town of North Beach is expected to get a significant amount of rain, and winds with gusts are likely.

SANDBAGS are available at the North Beach Department of Public Works yard located at 4030 11th Street today, September 29, 2022, from now until 8 pm, and tomorrow, September 30, 2022, from 8 am until 8 pm. The sandbags are for residents of the incorporated town limits of North Beach. Identification must be presented to confirm residency and to receive the sandbags. There is a limit of 10 bags per household and residents must fill their own bags. The bags are first come, first served until the supply runs out.

If you live in a FLOOD PRONE AREA, take precautions by moving your vehicles before the rain. Move vehicles to higher ground and further west. It is recommended to move vehicles from any areas that you see flooding and especially if you live or park on Bay Avenue and east toward the Chesapeake Bay between 5th Street and the Anne Arundel County line (including Annapolis Avenue and Atlantic Avenue), on Dayton Avenue around 4th Street, and, on Chesapeake Avenue between 3rd Street and 5th Street. There has been flooding beyond the areas listed here, so please use your best judgment!
