Proclamation: Operation Green Light for Veterans

On the evening of October 12, 2023 at the Town Council Meeting, Mayor Benton presented a proclamation declaring the town's observance of Operation Green Light for Veterans. Mayor Benton spoke of the importance of recognizing and honoring the sacrifices made by our veterans. Operation Green Light symbolizes gratitude and the town's commitment to supporting those who have selflessly served their country. The proclamation not only acknowledged the dedication of veterans, but also served as a call to the community to use green bulbs in outdoor lights from November 6 to November 12. The green bulbs will cast a radiant green glow throughout the town and will send a powerful message to our veterans—letting them know they are seen, appreciated and supported.
