Reminder: Gatherings Not Permitted in Public Areas

December 11, 2020:  The Town of North Beach’s highest priority continues to be the safety and well-being of our residents, staff and visitors. Due to the health and safety concerns regarding the COVID-19 Coronavirus, the Town proactively set forth measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our town. Some measures include cancelling public meetings, closing the beach and cancelling all events until further notice.

The Town of North Beach has not permitted gatherings since the beginning of the public health emergency. This notice should serve as a reminder that gatherings, planned or spontaneous, will not be permitted in any public areas of the Town of North Beach. These areas include the boardwalk, fishing pier, Sunrise Garden, Wetlands Overland Park, and Callis Park.

As the year 2020 comes to an end, it is extremely important for all citizens to continue to be vigilant and do their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Citizens are urged to continue to wear face masks, practice physical distancing, wash hands, avoid crowds and if you feel ill, stay home.

To seek additional information on the COVID-19 coronavirus, visit the CDC website, the Maryland Department of Health website, and the Calvert County Health Department's website. For information specific to the Town of North Beach, visit the town website and follow us on Facebook at North Beach Maryland.
