Road Closures Due to Hazardous Weather and Flooding

Due to severe flooding, several roads are closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. We ask that you please obey all signs and blockades. Do not drive around barricades. Do not walk through or drive through flooded roadways. The flooding can cause manhole covers to float and there is a chance that those walking through flooded streets can fall into the manhole. Do not drive into flooded areas. Six inches of water will reach the bottom of most passenger cars causing loss of control and possible stalling. A foot of water will float many vehicles.
The following roads are currently closed:
- Bay Avenue
- Annapolis Avenue
- Atlantic Avenue
- 3rd Street between Chesapeake Avenue and Bay Avenue
- 5th Street between Chesapeake Avenue and Bay Avenue
- 7th Street between Chesapeake Avenue and Bay Avenue
- 8th Street between Chesapeake Avenue and Bay Avenue
