Twin Beach Players Youth Troupe

Twin Beach Players would like to invite you to join their newly revamped Youth Troupe. This year, they are pivoting the Youth Troupe Program to be a more educational and interactive experience. More information from Twin Beach Players follows.

Instead of seeing the kids once in a while when we produce a show we are going to be holding bi-monthly meetings on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. During these meetings we plan to grow our young members knowledge of all aspects of theater not just acting. We believe that a great theater artist is a well-rounded artist and that instruction in various forms of this wonderful craft is beneficial to all students..

In this program the students will be instructed by our Youth Troupe Leader Harvey Williams and various guest lecturers and adult company members on a wide variety of relevant topics such as how to audition, in person and virtually, how to dress for a head shot, theater history and traditions, makeup, props creation, sound, lighting, and stage management, how to analyze a script, how to build a character and so much more! The Youth Troupe should offer something for everyone and we want to grow, lead and foster a fun learning environment for the youth in our community.

The culmination of all this work over the course of year will be the production of fun filled full length play that we think all the kids will be excited to work on in early October.

If you are interested in finding out what show our director Harvey has chosen for this year come out and join us for our first informational meeting on Saturday Jan. 28th from 2:00-4:00 pm. Parents are asked to attend this first meeting with their child.

There we will be giving a full explanation of our curriculum for the year and the rules and regulations of this new program, and have volunteer sign ups for parents involvement through out the program.
