Update: DPW & Waterfront Crews Address Post-Storm Cleanup

Update January 10, 2024 at 3:40 pm: Clean up crews are making progress and continue to work in the affected areas. The pier, the south beach and Bay Avenue are open.

Following yesterday's storm, North Beach's Department of Public Works and Waterfront staff are focusing on clean up and repair operations. Please make note of the following areas that have been temporarily closed to pedestrian and/or vehicular traffic:

  • Pier
  • Beaches
  • 7th Street between Annapolis and Atlantic Avenues
  • 9th Street between Annapolis and Atlantic Avenues
  • Annapolis Avenue
  • Atlantic Avenue

Residents and visitors are urged to avoid these locations until further notice. Do not drive or walk in floodwater. Cleanup crews will clear the streets of debris once the water recedes. Thank you for your cooperation during this cleanup effort.
