Town Resident Questionnaire Regarding Flood Concerns

North Beach Town Residents: Your valuable input is needed! Please complete this online questionnaire no later than Thursday, October 13, 2022!

Residents are encouraged to complete this online questionnaire and also attend the public meeting to share coastal and stormwater flooding experiences and to pinpoint specific areas of concern. This will help identify additional problem areas where improvement measures are needed and to aid in the prioritization of problem areas.

The public meeting with principals from BayLand Consultants and Designers (BayLand) is Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 7 to 9 pm at the Town Hall. The Mayor and Town Council request the presence of town residents and encourage input during this meeting.

BayLand was recently awarded a contract to develop a Compound Flood Action Plan—namely, structural and engineering solutions to relieve the dual impact of coastal and stormwater flooding. During the public meeting on October 20th, BayLand will give a presentation that will discuss the field investigations completed and the main flooding areas identified from initial engineering analyses of the entire town. BayLand will also discuss the next steps for developing the town’s Compound Flood Action Plan.
