Resident Questionnaire: Flood Concerns

This online questionnaire was reopened on October 24, 2022.

Residents are encouraged to complete this online questionnaire to share coastal and stormwater flooding experiences and to pinpoint specific areas of concern. This will help identify additional problem areas where improvement measures are needed and to aid in the prioritization of problem areas.

The public meeting with principals from BayLand Consultants and Designers (BayLand) was Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 7 to 9 pm at the Town Hall. The Mayor, Town Council, Town Staff and town residents attended this informative meeting. BayLand was awarded a contract to develop a Compound Flood Action Plan—namely, structural and engineering solutions to relieve the dual impact of coastal and stormwater flooding. During the public meeting on October 20th, BayLand gave a presentation that discussed the field investigations completed and the main flooding areas identified from initial engineering analyses of the entire town. BayLand also discussed the next steps for developing the town’s Compound Flood Action Plan.

This graphic below from BayLand's presentation shows priority areas based on results compiled through October 13, 2022 from the Resident Questionnaire. If you feel there are locations that are not represented on the map, please complete the questionnaire.
